OUR COMMITMENT TO THE SAFETY OF PATIENTS AND STAFF AT SUTTON ADVANCED DENTISTRY

The spread of The COVID-19 pandemic has affected us globally as well as our communities in San Diego. Stay at home orders had directed us to provisionally close the practice in March 2020 per recommendations from the California and American Dental Association. During this time we have had time to make specific changes for improving safety as well as reflect on what is important - namely our patients, family and staff. In May 2020, the California Department of Public Health gave the go ahead to resume preventative and resuming deferred patient care.

Office Environmental Controls for COVID-19 Safety

Medical Grade Medify MA-112 Air Purifiers filters 99.9% of particles down to .1 micron. 5000 sq. ft capacity.

High volume dental evacuator units in all treatment rooms. 95% of aerosolized material removed from this alone.

254 Nm UV anti-microbial light system installed in both HVAC system. This effectively disrupts replicating mechanism of Corona Virus.

Personal Protective Equipment: Respirator Masks, Face Shields, Surgical Gowns, Head Covering Gloves

Licensed respirator protection testing for OSHA compliance for all employees.

Research has shown COVID-19 is vulnerable to oxidative effects of hydrogen peroxide containing oral rinse. We are asking all patients to rinse for 30 seconds prior to exam or treatment.

• Frequent cleaning/disinfection of bathroom
• All staff team members trained in latest infection control protocols
• Routine testing of sterilization effectiveness
• Routine disinfection of dental waterlines and testing for purity
• Rooms disinfected between patients with Germicidal
• All patients screened before entering the dental office for COVID-19 exposure
• No-touch digital thermometer for patients and staff before entering treatment rooms
• OSHA and CDPH standards followed; Increased time for all procedures
• 240 sq. ft waiting room limited to 1-2 persons; Physical distancing greater than 6'

To contain aerosolized contaminates, we will employ various means to aid in this. Many of you are familiar with some of these, but for other patients they may be new.
